Dr Ranita Siru graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2010. Her formative intern and resident years were undertaken at Royal Perth Hospital, with advanced training in endocrinology completed at Fiona Stanley and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. She completed a Research Fellowship in the multidisciplinary diabetic foot unit at Fiona Stanley Hospital and was awarded FRACP in 2019. Subsequent to this, she began working at Mercy Bariatrics and Diabetes WA while concurrently undertaking specialist training in Chemical Pathology.
Ranita now works at Diabetes WA, Living Diabetes and Endocrinology and has private practices in Jandakot and South Bunbury. She also works in Bunbury Hospital as part of the interdisciplinary High Risk Foot Service.
Ranita has special interests in obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiometabolic health, but enjoys all aspects of endocrinology including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone and calcium metabolism and female and male hormones.
Ranita likes to work collaboratively with her patients, their GPs and allied health team members to achieve her patients' individualised health goals.
In her spare time, you will find Ranita hiking the trails of the South West with her husband and two daughters.
